Four Corner Stones

A good financial plan begins with a good foundation. And every foundation begins with four corner stones. We identify those corner stones by the following

Cash Reserve

This is money that you have set aside in case of an emergency or an opportunity. Without this corner stone a financial plan will fall apart in the event of an unforeseen event, such as unemployment or disability. If you have to access funds earmarked for retirement or another goal to cover the unforeseen event, then that goal is then compromised and may not be reached. If on the other hand you have a strong cash reserve then you will have funds to use for the unforeseen events, and the integrity of your financial plan will not be compromised and you maintain the ability to reach your goals.

Income

If you have yet to retire, your ability to earn an income is your most valuable asset.  Loosing that ability, can have a serious impact on the ability to reach your goals.  In the event of disability or worse yet the loss of life, can have a major impact, not only emotionally but financially on any family.  Knowing that your financial plan will still be able to be achieved brings peace of mind like no other.

If you have retired or are nearing retirement this cornerstone is established for making sure you continue to receive a "paycheck."  Just because you are retired does not mean you no longer have expenses.  For many people these expenses are higher than their Social Security and pensions provide.  When putting this cornerstone in place, we earmark a portion of your assets to cover the short fall left by Social Security and pensions.  your plan should make sure that you have a stream of income that you can not outlive.

Asset Protection

Your nest egg is very important to you. With this cornerstone we earmark a portion of your assets that you no longer want to leave at risk in the market. For many people these are assets that they are thinking passing them on to the next generation, or they just simply no longer wish to risk. Just because you no longer are risking these assets does not mean that you should not receive a rate of return. We work to help find good rates of return without the risks of the market.

Investment Portfolio

Building wealth and growing your assets is a critical component of all financial planning. But how do you invest in the market. You are bombarded by the media, bullied by sales people, and bewildered by the thousands of options available to you. We work with you to build an investment portfolio that matches your unique goals, risk tolerance, and most importantly understanding. We work one on one with you, to educate you on your options and help you make smart financial decisions.
